Qigong - practice of Qi

Qi -energy, Gong - work, skill, practice

It is a practice to cultivate and encourage qi to flow smoothly in your body to promote good health and wellbeing. Common ways to practice include mindful movement, standing postures and meditation. 


 The origin of Qigong is Chinese and is believed to go back at least 4000 years. There are many styles and there can be different focuses, e.g. improved physical health, spiritual development, or martial arts. They all involve a quietened mind.
